The Enclave Inn in Bridgehampton, once owned by Martha Stewart‘s daughter Alexis Stewart, had been on the market since February 2012, with an asking price of $2.69 million.
The small hotel has 10 rooms and a pool, and is sited over 11/2 acres. It also has room for a tennis court. The popular inn (also referred to as the Bridge Inn) had been owned by hotelier Michael Wudyka after Stewart sold it. Wudyka, who also owns the East Hampton Studio, a giant event space, sold the inn to Gabby, her hubby, Gianpaolo De Felice, and Donna. The deal closed Friday.
Karan will make extensive renovations to the inn to turn it into a modern hotel, according to the source. Renovations will start in the fall and the property will reopen in the spring of 2014.
The Karans are big property owners in the Hamptons. Gabby owns Sag Harbor hotspot Tutto Il Giorno, and opened a second club in Southampton in 2011.
