Judy was born November 27th, 1938 to Col. Charles Henry and Alice Henry, nee Neiderhaus. Born an "Army Brat" in Evansville, Indiana, Judy's early childhood was spent in Japan where her family lived in a mountain-top villa as her father served in the high command of the occupying Allied Forces. She never forgot the kindness of the Japanese people she met, and credited them for sparking her life-long love of world travel. Her novel, If Lover Were All, reflects her memories and fondness of her youth spent in Japan. In addition to numerous short military stations, her family also spent significant time in North Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma where Judy then graduated Valedictorian from Lawton High.
