Veronica Zanele KaMagwaza-Msibi is South Africa's Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.
Born and brought up in Makhosini, in the Mahlabathini area, the Deputy Minister holds a BA from the University of Zululand, a Diploma in Further Education in Management from the University of Natal, and a Diploma in Local Government from the University of Durban-Westville.
After qualifying as a primary school teacher at the KwaGqikazi College of Education in , she taught at several schools in KwaZulu-Natal, serving as principal in three of them, before entering politics full time.
Among her many other responsibilities, she has been a member of the Heritage KwaZulu-Natal council, and Chair of the Natal Joint Municipal Pension Fund board. She has served on various local and provincial structures, and spent 15 years as Mayor of the Zululand District Municipality.

Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi (1 February &#; 6 September ) was a South African politician who was the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of South Africa in the cabinet of Jacob Zuma. She was also President of the National Freedom Party (NFP). Prior to being elected to Parliament, she served for nineteen years as a councillor, fifteen of those years as Mayor of the Zululand District Municipality.[1] She was formerly chairperson of the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) and the IFP's candidate for Premier of KwaZulu-Natal in the general election. [2]
On 7 May , her new party successfully contested the South African general elections by receiving , (%) of the national votes. This outcome placed the NFP in fifth place, winning 6 seats in the National Assembly.[3]
