Eberechi Suzzette Wike (née Obuzor; born 24 May 1972) is a Justice of the Rivers State High Court. She is married to former GovernorEzenwo Wike who is currently the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and was the First Lady of Rivers State from 29 May 2015 to 29 May 2023.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Wike was born Eberechi Suzzette Obuzor in Odiokwu, Ahoada West of Rivers State. She comes from a Christian family consisting of Dr. and Mrs. Obuzor. She attended Rivers State University of Science and Technology, where she received her LL.B. (Hons.) in 1996.
Following her graduation, Wike successfully enrolled in Law School. She achieved the Barrister-at-Law degree (B.L.) in 1997. A year later, she was admitted to the Nigerian bar, eventually commencing practice in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Wike is a recipient of the Chevening Scholarship award (UK). She also holds a master's degree in law (LL.M.) from the University of Sussex.[2]
Career
[edit]Wike joined Efe Chambers as Legal Counsel in charge of litigation. She was later selected to serve as Magistrate Grade I. While in the service, she rose to Chief Magistrate Grade II, and from there became High Court judge in February 2012.[2]

The Hon. Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike was born on Wednesday, the 24th day of May, 1972 into the Christian family of Dr. Ikechukwu Amadi Obuzor of Odiokwu in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Upon qualification to study law and admission into the Rivers State University of Science and Techonology, Port Harcourt, Nigeria, His Lordship humbly began the pursuit of a noble career in the Legal Profession when she obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) in 1996 and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School wherein she obtained the Barrister-at-Law (B.L.) (Hons) in 1997 and was called to the Nigerian Bar on the 25th of February, 1998. She holds a Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M), from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom by virtue of the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship (2005/2006).
